Review Pilot Guide

Understand pending Google API access

Distinguish a successful Google sign-in from Google-controlled Business Profile API approval.

Open the relevant panel areaEstimated time: 3–5 min

Complete the task

Follow the steps in order. Each change remains under your control.

  1. 1

Confirm that the Google account connection itself is still active.

  2. 2

Read the displayed API state; do not repeatedly reconnect when approval is pending.

  3. 3

Continue with orders, billing and supported non-Google operations while access is pending.

Successful result

The user understands whether the issue is account authorisation or Google API availability and avoids unnecessary duplicate connections.

If the result is different

Run these checks before sending a support request.

1

A successful sign-in does not guarantee Business Profile API access.

2

Google controls approval and availability; Review Pilot can only display the current state.

Related questions

Short answers that clarify rules and expected behaviour.

Why can Google API access still be pending?

Google controls Business Profile API approval, permissions and availability. A successful Google sign-in confirms the account connection but does not by itself guarantee API access.

When should I reconnect the Google account?

Reconnect when the panel reports expired or missing authorisation, the Google account changed, or the required permissions were removed. Reconnecting does not bypass Google API approval.

When do Google reviews appear?

Reviews can synchronise after an authorised Google account and verified location are matched and the required API access is available. Timing also depends on Google and the active plan.
