Troubleshoot NFC and QR
Separate device, activation and destination problems with a controlled test.
Complete the task
Follow the steps in order. Each change remains under your control.
- 1
Test QR first, then NFC, on two compatible phones.
- 2
Confirm the product is activated, assigned and has a valid destination.
- 3
If only NFC fails, check phone NFC support and tap position; if both fail, contact support.
Successful result
The failure is isolated to device, NFC tap, QR scan, activation or destination.
If the result is different
Run these checks before sending a support request.
Do not share activation codes publicly.
Send support the exact test result, phone type and product reference.
Related questions
Short answers that clarify rules and expected behaviour.
What should I check if NFC or QR does not open?
Test both NFC and QR with another compatible phone, confirm the product is activated and assigned, then verify that its managed destination is valid. Contact support with the product code if the issue continues.
How do I activate a product?
Sign in, open Products, enter the secure five-letter activation code supplied with the product, assign the correct business and location, configure the destination and run the test.
Can I change the destination after installation?
Yes, for eligible managed products. An authorised user can change the destination without rewriting the NFC chip or reprinting the QR code.
